Hubert Lenoir Retreats from Public Life, Avoids Spotlight Return

Hubert Lenoir, the acclaimed artist from Quebec, has recently confirmed he is stepping back from the public eye. Despite composing the soundtrack for his girlfriend Noémie D. Leclerc’s upcoming film, he does not envision a return to the spotlight.

Hubert Lenoir’s Retreat from the Spotlight

In a recent interview, Lenoir expressed his fatigue with public life. He stated, “I’m tired of public life. I don’t see a moment where I could reintegrate as I did before.” Although he continues to create music, he feels uncertain about his future plans.

Recent Projects and Public Appearances

Since wrapping up his tour for the album “PICTURA DE IPSE: Musique directe” in 2022, Lenoir has maintained a low profile. His public appearances have been minimal, with notable performances including:

  • A tribute show for Jean-Pierre Ferland at the Francos de Montréal (2024).
  • Two performances at the SuperFrancoFête in Quebec (2024 and 2025).

During one memorable performance, he energized the crowd at the Agora du Port de Québec, singing “Fille de personne II” and rallying them with a passionate call: “Long live music, long live free Quebec!”

Future Participation in Public Events

When asked about participating in more collective performances, Lenoir was cautious. He remarked, “It’s case by case, but for now, I’m holding back. I don’t have a cellphone. I don’t know.” This indicates his desire to remain distanced from the pressures of the public domain.

Overall, Lenoir’s decision to withdraw highlights his focus on personal well-being while still nurturing his passion for music. As he navigates this retreat from public life, fans will be watching closely for his next steps.
