K-State Freshman Dies in Fraternity House Fall in Overland Park

A tragic incident has led to the death of a Kansas State University freshman from Overland Park. Jack Fleischaker, aged 19, suffered a traumatic brain injury after falling from a second-story window of a fraternity house. This unfortunate event occurred early on a Saturday morning, according to reports from the Riley County police.

Fleischaker was a freshman studying accounting and finance and a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. Eyewitnesses and reports indicate that the fall might have been influenced by alcohol. Following the fall, Jack Fleischaker was not expected to recover from his injuries. His pastor, Gar Demo from St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Overland Park, shared this somber news with the community. On Wednesday, more than 300 individuals participated in an honor walk at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka as Fleischaker was transported for organ donation.
