A tragic incident unfolded in Modena, Italy, when a car plowed into a crowd of pedestrians, causing severe injuries and chaos. The event occurred around 16:30 local time, near the famous cathedral in Via Emilia.

The speeding vehicle was reported to have been traveling at approximately 100 km/h (62 mph) when it veered onto the sidewalk. Eyewitnesses described the scene as pedestrians were sent flying upon impact. Following the crash, the car collided with a shop window.

After exiting the vehicle, the driver brandished a knife, escalating the situation further. Five women and three men sustained injuries, with one woman tragically losing both of her legs due to the incident.
