Victoria Day is approaching, bringing with it expected warm weather in Toronto. Environment Canada forecasts a blend of sun and clouds, with temperatures reaching a high of 27°C and a low of 17°C.

What’s Open
This Victoria Day, many attractions and venues will welcome visitors:
- CN Tower
- Ripley’s Aquarium
- Royal Ontario Museum
- Art Gallery of Ontario
- Toronto Zoo
- All City of Toronto golf courses
What’s Closed
However, several important services will be unavailable:
- All federal, provincial, and municipal government offices
- Toronto Public Library branches
- Community centers
- Banks
Recent amendments to Ontario’s Retail Business and Holiday Act permit retail stores and malls to stay open on Family Day and Victoria Day.
Fireworks Viewing Spots
The City of Toronto will host its annual Victoria Day fireworks display at Ashbridge’s Bay, starting at 10 p.m. Residents are advised to leave personal vehicles behind and utilize public transit to attend the event. For transit options, schedules can be found online.
If you’re interested in hosting your own fireworks viewing, private property fireworks can be set off before 11 p.m. on Victoria Day, in accordance with a City of Toronto press release.
Transit Updates
Line 6 Finch Closure
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has announced that Line 6 Finch will be closed throughout the long weekend. Closures commence on Friday at 2:30 a.m. and last until Tuesday at 4 a.m. Replacement shuttle buses will operate along Finch Avenue West during this period.
This planned closure is intended to facilitate system upgrades and prepare for increased ridership related to the upcoming FIFA World Cup and other major events in Toronto. Metrolinx officials emphasized the strategic timing to ensure the line meets future demands.
