Tzu Chi’s Nantou Ceremony recently celebrated a momentous occasion that intertwines Buddha’s birthday, Mother’s Day, and Universal Tzu Chi Day. This event took place on November 4th at the Nantou County Government Building, highlighting gratitude towards Buddha, parents, and all living beings.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of Tzu Chi, making the ceremony even more significant. The Nantou Tzu Chi office organized 16 series of events to engage the community in various ways, ensuring that county government staff and local residents can participate in these meaningful rituals.
Participation and Rituals
County Magistrate Hsu Shuhua attended the ceremony along with Deputy Magistrate Wang Ruid, emphasizing the importance of community involvement. Attendees engaged in the ceremonial bathing of the Buddha, bowing respectfully in a gesture known as “Li Fo Zu,” which signifies sincere reverence.
