Application Process for PIP
To start your PIP claim, contact the DWP at 0800 917 2222. The date of your initial contact is critical, as it determines when your payments can begin. Once your claim is initiated, you’ll receive a “PIP2” form entitled ‘How your disability affects you’. This form requires detailed descriptions of your limitations, and it’s essential to include supporting documentation, such as medical reports.
The DWP will arrange an assessment with a health professional, which may occur via telephone, video call, or face-to-face, based on what is most suitable for you. For comprehensive information about PIP and application procedures, visit the official Gov.uk website.
