A 38-year-old man from Finchley has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for a series of sexual offenses. Ross Davidson, of Station Road, was convicted following investigations by the Metropolitan Police, which revealed he had covertly recorded his crimes. He received his sentence on April 30, 2024, at Wood Green Crown Court.
Crimes and Legal Proceedings
Davidson’s offenses include rape, two counts of sexual assault, and voyeurism. His first trial concluded with a guilty verdict in July 2024. During a second trial in January 2026, he pleaded guilty to another count of voyeurism and was also found guilty of additional charges, including attempted rape.
In total, the police investigation identified six victim-survivors linked to Davidson’s actions. Three of these victims have publicly shared their experiences, expressing the emotional toll of coming forward and the importance of support during the legal process.

Davidson was arrested on May 1, 2019, for an unrelated offense, which led to investigators seizing his digital devices. The examination of these devices uncovered several videos of him committing sexual crimes. This evidence resulted in charges of 17 sexual offenses on June 24, 2022.
Further reports emerged after media coverage of Davidson’s initial charges prompted additional victims to come forward. On July 6, 2024, he was charged with three more serious sexual offenses.

Detective Constable Kamila Kedadrova, involved in the case, praised the victims for their courage and the dedication of the investigative team. The Metropolitan Police have increased efforts to ensure justice for sexual offense victims, recording a notable rise in arrests and charges related to such crimes over the past five years.

She praised the outcome of Davidson’s case as a testament to the survivors’ bravery and highlighted the importance of providing trauma-informed support throughout the justice process.
Path Forward for Victims
The Metropolitan Police are actively working to enhance the experience of victims during investigations. Recently, they announced a £10 million initiative to upgrade the facilities used for video recorded interviews (VRI) with victims. This upgrade aims to create a more supportive environment for victims and ensure that their statements can be effectively utilized in court proceedings.
