Moreover, the UN’s influence extends beyond crisis management. It empowers isolated communities by providing access to clean water, supporting women’s development, and ensuring children’s education.
Funding Challenges
Despite its significant contributions, the UN faces severe funding shortages. As global needs rise, many countries are cutting their contributions or delaying payments. This has detrimental effects on millions who rely on UN assistance and creates difficult choices for field workers.
