Real-Time Gas Prices at 2,500 Stations: Check Now

In a bid to help consumers find the best fuel prices, the Régie de l’énergie has launched an interactive map. This tool, operational since Wednesday morning, allows users to access real-time gas prices at over 2,500 service stations across Quebec.
Features of the Interactive Gas Price Map
This new platform, known as Régie Essence Québec, provides an efficient way to compare fuel prices. Unlike other apps such as GasBuddy, which relies on user-submitted data, the prices displayed on this map come directly from fuel retailers. They are required to update their prices within five minutes of any change.
- Real-time updates directly from retailers.
- More than 2,500 service stations included.
- Easy-to-use interface showing location and price.
How to Use the Map
Users simply click on the point representing a gas station to view current pricing. It is advisable to check multiple stations in your area to find the best deals. Regular consultations of this tool can lead to significant savings over time.
Current Fuel Prices in Major Cities
Shortly after the launch of the map, fuel prices varied notably by location. In Quebec City, most stations displayed a price of 187.9 cents per liter for regular gas and 212.9 cents per liter for premium gas. In Montreal, the prices were slightly higher, with regular fuel at 197.9 cents per liter and premium at 224.9 cents per liter.
Regional Price Variations
Price differences are more pronounced between regions. Consumers are encouraged to explore the map to pinpoint where prices are the most economical.
By utilizing the Régié de l’énergie’s new tool, Quebec residents can make informed choices regarding their fuel purchases, ensuring they pay the best prices possible at the pump.
