Taskmaster Announces New Series Return Date Imminently

Taskmaster has officially announced the return of its new season, much to the excitement of fans. The popular comedy series is set to debut its 21st season on Thursday, April 9, at 9 PM on Channel 4. Following its broadcast, the episodes will also be available for streaming on the Taskmaster YouTube channel.

Exciting Line-Up and Format Changes

This season features a star-studded cast, including:

  • Kumail Nanjiani, known for his Hollywood roles
  • Armando Iannucci from The Thick of It
  • Joanna Page from Gavin & Stacey
  • Amy Gledhill, a participant in Last One Laughing UK
  • Joel Dommett, a familiar face from The Masked Singer

In a new twist, episodes will be streamed globally at 10 PM BST, 5 PM EST, and 2 PM PST. This follows a format change introduced in the last season.

Creators Tease Memorable Moments

Creator Alex Horne has hinted at unique moments within the upcoming season. He mentioned a surprising revelation from Kumail Nanjiani that viewers won’t want to miss. According to Horne, “Kumail gives a lot away about what he does by himself in his hotel room,” suggesting a striking moment that will be unforgettable.

Horne also shared insights about Armando Iannucci, noting how unexpected it was to see him struggle under pressure: “He turned out to be just like everyone else, crumbling in challenging situations.”

The last season of Taskmaster concluded with Maisie Adam emerging as the champion. Currently, she is participating in the second season of Last One Laughing UK alongside fellow contestant Amy Gledhill.
