Air Canada Expands Luxury Bus Service Between Muskoka and Pearson Airports

Air Canada is enhancing travel connectivity between Muskoka and Toronto Pearson International Airport by expanding its luxury bus service, known as Landline. This initiative makes it easier for residents in Northern Central Ontario to access the airport.
Details of the Luxury Bus Service
Starting June 15, the Landline motorcoach will operate two round trips daily from Muskoka. Passengers will check in at Muskoka Airport, receive bag tags, and board the bus that takes them directly to Pearson Airport.
This service comes at no additional cost to those flying from Muskoka. Additionally, travellers will enjoy the convenience of free parking at the airport, alleviating the usual concerns of transportation and parking fees at the larger Pearson Airport.
Benefits of the New Service
- Seamless travel experience connecting Muskoka to Toronto.
- Free parking at Muskoka Airport for travellers.
- Enhanced passenger protections similar to those on flights.
Impact on the Muskoka Region
Officials in Muskoka anticipate significant positive effects from this new transportation option. Jeff Lehman, the District Chair for Muskoka, notes that the service will increase visibility on travel planning apps and airline websites, positioning Muskoka as a desirable travel destination.
Lehman stated, “This last leg that’s handled by Air Canada is considered a leg of a flight. You fly from Muskoka to Toronto, and then to global destinations.”
Additional Communities Served
Besides Muskoka, Air Canada is expanding its Landline service to include Niagara and Sarnia. The airline currently offers similar services to cities such as Hamilton, Kingston, and Kitchener, enhancing accessibility for both residents and tourists.
Ranbir Singh, director of Regional Airlines and Markets at Air Canada, emphasized the economic benefits of this initiative, stating it would boost personal, tourist, and business travel, further enriching the communities involved.
The expansion of luxury bus service by Air Canada marks a significant improvement in travel opportunities for those living in Muskoka and surrounding areas.
