Alle-Kiski Valley Hosts 2025 Veterans Day Events

The Alle-Kiski Valley is set to honor its veterans with a series of events on Veterans Day, which falls on Tuesday, November 14, 2025. These celebrations aim to recognize the sacrifices made by those who have served in the armed forces. Below is a detailed schedule of the various activities planned across the region.
Veterans Day Events in Alle-Kiski Valley
Apollo
- Event: Veterans Tribute Concert
- Time: 7 p.m.
- Location: Apollo United Presbyterian Church, 401 First St.
- Additional Info: Donations for the Apollo Lions Club Veterans Dinner will be accepted.
Arnold/New Kensington
- Event: Wreath Placement Ceremonies
- Times: 10 a.m. in Roosevelt Park (Arnold), 10:30 a.m. at White Star Memorial (New Kensington)
- Post Ceremony: Breakfast served at the American Legion post for all participants.
Brackenridge
- Event: Indoor Ceremony
- Time: 11 a.m.
- Location: American Legion, 845 First Ave.
- Features: Guest speakers and a 21-gun volley salute. Everyone is welcome.
Leechburg
- Event: Free Spaghetti Dinner
- Time: Noon to 2 p.m.
- Location: Marconi Club, 135 River Ave.
Lower Burrell
- Event: Ceremony and Parade
- Initial Ceremony: 9:30 a.m. at Greenwood Memorial Park
- Parade Time: 11 a.m. from Schreiber Street to Hillcrest Shopping Center
- Final Service: 12:30 p.m. at Veterans of Foreign Wars on Wildlife Lodge Road. Open to the public.
Oakmont
- Event: Veterans Day Dinner
- Time: 5 p.m.
- Location: Oakmont Elks, 106 Washington Ave.
- Cost: Free for veterans; guests can attend for $10. Reservations required by 4 p.m. Sunday (Call 412-828-1668).
Springdale
- Event: Bells of Peace and Veterans Service
- Bells: Ringing at 11 a.m.
- Service: At Porter Street Memorial following the bells, weather permitting.
- Special Service: At Valley Gospel Church for veterans and first responders’ families at 7 p.m. on Monday.
Tarentum
- Event: Tribute to Veterans
- Time: 2 p.m. on Saturday
- Location: Alle-Kiski Valley Historical Society, 224 W. Seventh Ave.
- Feature: Screening of a 50-minute film showcasing local veterans’ memories.
West Deer
- Event: Veterans Day Breakfast
- Time: 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday
- Location: American Legion Hall, 57 Superior Road, Curtisville.
- Menu: Pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, coffee, and orange juice. $5 for guests; free for veterans.
