J&D Brush Co., LLC has initiated a recall of their Bio Ionic One-Inch-Long Barrel Curling Irons. The recall was announced on October 23, 2025. The reason behind the recall is a significant burn risk. Reports indicate that the curling iron’s barrel can snap and detach during use.
Product Details
The affected model number is LXT-CL-1.0, and it features a black handle and barrel. It measures approximately 15.8 inches in length, 2.87 inches in height, and 1.65 inches in width. Each curling iron weighs about 15 ounces. The model number and a code indicating the manufacturing date (MMYY) can be found on the handle and the prongs of the plug, respectively.

- Total Units Recalled: Approximately 357,000 units in the U.S.
- Units Sold in Canada: About 3,000 units.
- Report of Incidents: 258 reports of barrel attachment failures.
- Minor Injuries: Six reported burn injuries.
Safety Instructions
Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled curling iron immediately. They should unplug the device and contact Bio Ionic to obtain a free replacement. To facilitate the recall process, consumers must cut off the plug and return it to the company using a prepaid shipping label.
