T-Mobile Outage Affects Subscribers Nationwide

Some T-Mobile subscribers are currently facing service disruptions across various regions. At 4:29 PM ET, Downdetector reported 613 complaints, a significant increase from just 18 complaints recorded at 6:55 AM ET and 34 at 9:10 AM ET.
T-Mobile Outage Impacts Subscribers Across Multiple States
Complaints regarding T-Mobile services have come in from several cities, including:
- Sacramento
- Citrus Heights
- Carmichael
- Elk Grove
- Dallas
- Reno
- Denton
- Roseville
- Phoenix
Analysis of the complaints indicates that:
- 49% relate to issues with T-Mobile customers’ mobile phones.
- One-third focus on problems with 5G home internet.
- 19% pertain to difficulties in obtaining a network signal.
Metro by T-Mobile Also Reports Problems
In addition to T-Mobile, subscribers of Metro by T-Mobile are experiencing similar outages. Reports indicate that as of 4:47 PM ET, Downdetector had recorded 73 complaints relating to these issues.
Downdetector, owned by Ookla, has noted, “User reports indicate problems at T-Mobile,” which aligns with trends observed on other platforms. StatusGator has also reported potential connectivity issues, particularly from California, Alabama, and Florida.
Identification of Regional Issues
The relatively low number of complaints compared to other service outages suggests this issue might be regional. For context, a nationwide outage for Verizon recently garnered over 20,000 submissions to Downdetector.
Another service status website, “Is The Service Down,” confirms ongoing issues affecting T-Mobile’s internet and wireless phone services, suggesting some users may not be able to connect at all. These problems have reportedly persisted since 11:40 AM ET on Saturday.
As the situation progressed into the evening, the volume of complaints appeared to decrease, with Downdetector adjusting its status to indicate T-Mobile is experiencing possible problems rather than a full outage.
Future Updates Expected
No official statement has been released by T-Mobile regarding these disruptions. Should further information become available, updates will be provided. Initial reports suggest that a relatively small fraction of users is likely affected by the current issues.
