Jakob Poeltl’s Health Concerns

Jakob Poeltl, who has been a crucial player for the Raptors, has shown immense improvement since recovering from a back injury that affected him early this season. This will be his first absence due to illness after participating in eight of Toronto’s last nine games.

Recent Performances

In a recent victory over the Dallas Mavericks, Poeltl excelled, recording 16 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and two blocks. He showcased an impressive shooting performance, connecting on 8 of 9 attempts from the field.

This season, Poeltl is averaging 9.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists across 29 games, with 27 of those being starts. His field goal percentage stands at an impressive 70.1%.

Other Injuries Impacting the Raptors

  • Forwards Collin Murray-Boyles and Traye Jackson-Davis will also miss Tuesday’s game.
  • Murray-Boyles has been out due to a thumb sprain, marking the fifth consecutive absence and twelfth overall since his injury began in late December. He averages 7.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists this season.
  • Jackson-Davis suffered a finger dislocation during warmups and was unable to play against the Mavericks. He recently scored 32 points with the G League’s Raptors 905.

Two-Way Players Unavailable

Additionally, two-way players A.J. Lawson and Chucky Hepburn will also not be available for the match against the Rockets. However, Alijah Martin is expected to participate.
