Emma Raducanu, Victoria Mboko, Alex Eala Star in Indian Wells Doubles Draw

The Indian Wells Open is gearing up for an exciting women’s doubles draw featuring prominent singles athletes. Star players Emma Raducanu, Victoria Mboko, and Alex Eala will make their presence felt in California this year.

Emma Raducanu and Elena-Gabriela Ruse Team Up

Emma Raducanu, currently ranked No. 24 in the WTA singles rankings, has entered the doubles competition. Partnering with Romanian Elena-Gabriela Ruse, who holds a higher doubles ranking at No. 80, the duo has received a wildcard entry.

This tournament marks a rare appearance for Raducanu in doubles, as her doubles ranking stands at No. 244. Her most recent doubles competition was in July 2025 during the Mubadala Citi DC Open, where she reached the semi-finals with Elena Rybakina.

19-year-old Victoria Mboko is also partaking in the doubles competition at Indian Wells. Despite her lower doubles ranking of 302, she has been actively participating in doubles events. Recently, she played alongside Coco Gauff in the Qatar Open.

Mboko will team up with fellow teen Mirra Andreeva, currently ranked eighth in singles and 22nd in doubles. Andreeva is a recognized talent, having won two doubles titles and earned a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Alex Eala and Iva Jovic in Action

The Jovic-Eala team has a challenging opener against Jelena Ostapenko and Hailey Baptiste. If both teams win their first matches, an exciting second-round clash against Mboko and Andreeva could ensue.

The doubles draw is highly competitive, featuring reigning Olympic champions Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini as the top seeds. Gabriela Dabrowski and Luisa Stefani are seeded second.
