El-Balad announces the return of the BAFTA-award winning series Rob & Romesh Vs, set to premiere on December 9 on Sky and NOW. This Sky Original series follows hosts Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan as they embark on new global challenges that push their limits.
Exploring Bollywood in Mumbai
The duo’s journey begins in Mumbai, where they aim to break into Bollywood, one of the largest film industries in the world. Known for its vibrant dance sequences, Mumbai will serve as a backdrop for their ambitious goal. They will receive guidance from renowned actors Ali Fazal and Anupam Kher as they pursue roles in a blockbuster film.
A Hip Hop Adventure in New York
Next, Rob and Romesh will take a trip to New York, the birthplace of Hip Hop. Here, Romesh will confront his fear of performing live in a freestyle cypher. They will meet Raekwon of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan, a pivotal figure in Romesh’s journey into the Hip Hop culture.
Wildlife Photography in the Sumatran Jungle
Rob and Romesh will then venture deep into the Sumatran jungle to capture stunning wildlife photographs. Their goal is to secure a spot in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition at the Natural History Museum in London. This segment promises breathtaking scenery and wildlife encounters.
Theatre Challenges at the Globe
Back in London, the comedic duo will attempt to perform ‘Romeo & Juliet’ at the Globe Theatre. With the assistance of Artistic Director Michelle Terry and acclaimed actors Jessie Buckley and Martin Freeman, Rob and Romesh will test their acting skills in one of Shakespeare’s revered classics.
Preparing for the Winter Olympics
In a two-part special, the series will conclude with a focus on Team GB ahead of the Winter Olympics in early 2026. Throughout the year, Rob and Romesh have trained for various Winter Sports. They received support from sports legends Eddie the Eagle and Eve Muirhead, along with emerging talents Mia Brookes and Team Mouat.
