Mount Dennis GO Station Launches Service This Sunday

The Mount Dennis GO Station officially commenced operations on Sunday, providing essential transit services to the community. This new station is strategically located on Eglinton Avenue West, between Weston Road and Black Creek Drive. It offers connections to the TTC bus service and the Kitchener GO train, enhancing local transportation options.

The station adds a significant stop for the Union Pearson Express, streamlining travel to downtown Toronto. Here are some key service details:
- Non-express Kitchener GO train service operates every 30 minutes on weekdays.
- Weekend service on the Kitchener line is scheduled every hour.
- Travel time to Union Station from Mount Dennis is approximately 13 minutes.
Future Developments
Mount Dennis GO Station will also serve as the western terminus for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT once it’s operational. The Eglinton line’s construction, which began in 2011, has faced several delays, pushing back its initial opening date of 2020.
