Prosecutors Seek Bail Revocation for Kapahulu Barricade Suspect

Prosecutors in Hawaii are seeking to revoke bail for Robert Morris, a suspect involved in a recent Kapahulu standoff. The 49-year-old man barricaded himself inside a residence on Herbert Street, leading to a prolonged situation lasting around 15 hours.
Standoff Details
The incident began on Tuesday, October 21. Morris surrendered to authorities shortly after midnight on October 22, emerging with a woman believed to be his wife. During the standoff, he allegedly shot a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) task force officer in the hand as they attempted to execute a search warrant.
Charges and Court Proceedings
Morris faces serious charges related to the incident, including assault on a federal officer. His court appearance has faced delays, occurring twice due to his need for medical treatment. He is currently in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
Upcoming Detention Hearing
A detention hearing is set for Tuesday, November 4, where the court will consider the prosecution’s request to keep Morris without bail.
