In a remarkable display of generosity, three billionaires treated diners at a renowned fried chicken restaurant to a feast on Thursday. Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, joined forces with Lee Jae-yong, chairman of Samsung Electronics, and Chung Eui-sun, executive chairman of Hyundai Motor Group. They surprised patrons at Kkanbu Chicken in Seoul, a popular destination known for its fried chicken and beer.
Billionaires Unite for Chicken and Beer Feast
The trio indulged in a classic South Korean meal of fried chicken paired with beer, commonly referred to as “chimaek.” Taking place in the heart of the capital, this gathering happened just ahead of the APEC summit in Gyeongju. Huang expressed his enthusiasm for the meal, stating, “I love fried chicken and beer with my friends, so Kkanbu is a perfect place.”

Huang eagerly held up baskets of chicken, asking nearby guests if they had tried the wings, emphasizing their deliciousness.

In a generous act, Huang rang a “golden bell” to cover the expenses for everyone present. Although it was noted that Lee ultimately paid the bill, with Chung treating patrons to a second round of drinks.
APEC Summit Context
This gathering coincided with the arrival of several Asian leaders in Gyeongju for the APEC summit. Huang’s company, Nvidia, has played a pivotal role in discussions regarding the availability of advanced AI chips, crucial for technological advancements. Following their dining experience, the trio headed to the Nvidia GeForce Gamer Festival, where Huang revealed that significant announcements would be made at the summit.
