The suspect, identified as 47-year-old Angelo Jose Saldivar, is from San Bernardino and was involved in a subsequent high-speed pursuit after the shooting. According to sheriff’s officials, Saldivar is unaffiliated with any law enforcement agency and was taken into custody after a crash on the 210 Freeway. He remains hospitalized, and murder charges are pending following medical clearance.
