Verizon Announces Q3 2025 Earnings, Confirms Full-Year Financial Outlook

Verizon Communications Inc. has recently disclosed its financial results for the third quarter of 2025. The company’s performance shows promising growth and a strong outlook for the remainder of the year.
Verizon’s Q3 2025 Performance Overview
Verizon reported a consolidated earnings per share (EPS) of $1.17 for the third quarter of 2025. This marks an increase from the $0.78 EPS recorded in the same quarter of 2024. The adjusted EPS, excluding special items, rose to $1.21, slightly up from $1.19 in Q3 2024.
- Total operating revenue reached $33.8 billion, reflecting a 1.5% rise year-over-year.
- Cash flow from operating activities for the first nine months of 2025 was $28.0 billion, up from $26.5 billion in 2024.
- Free cash flow improved to $15.8 billion, increasing from $14.5 billion in the same period last year.
- Net income for Q3 2025 totaled $5.1 billion, compared to $3.4 billion in Q3 2024.
Growth in Wireless Services
Verizon’s wireless service revenue stood at an impressive $21.0 billion, marking a growth of 2.1% year-over-year. This performance is supported by the following key metrics:
- Wireless equipment revenue for the quarter was $5.6 billion, up by 5.2% compared to the previous year.
- The company had over 18% of its consumer postpaid phone customers on a converged offering.
- Verizon raised its dividend for the 19th consecutive year, demonstrating confidence in shareholder returns.
Broadband Subscriber Growth
Verizon also saw significant broadband growth with the addition of:
- 306,000 broadband net additions in Q3 2025.
- 261,000 fixed wireless access subscribers, increasing the total to nearly 5.4 million.
- 61,000 Fios internet net additions, the highest quarterly result in two years.
Total broadband connections grew to over 13.2 million, reflecting an 11.1% increase year-over-year.

Additionally, the consumer wireless retail postpaid churn rate stood at 1.12%, while retail postpaid phone churn was recorded at 0.91% in Q3 2025.
Outlook and Financial Guidance
Verizon is maintaining its optimistic outlook for the full year, projecting:
- Total wireless service revenue growth between 2.0% to 2.8%.
- Adjusted EBITDA growth forecasted at 2.5% to 3.5%.
- Adjusted EPS growth anticipated between 1.0% to 3.0%.
- Cash flow from operations expected to fall between $37.0 billion and $39.0 billion.
- Free cash flow anticipated to be in the range of $19.5 billion to $20.5 billion.
Verizon remains committed to its investment goals for 2025, with capital expenditures projected to stay within $17.5 billion to $18.5 billion.
