Euroleague Basketball Relaunches Bouncing for Good Initiative

Euroleague Basketball has announced the relaunch of its successful community initiative, “Bouncing for Good,” in collaboration with Motorola. This second season aims to foster inclusion, creativity, and healthy habits among children from vulnerable backgrounds across Europe.
Bouncing for Good: Program Details
Bouncing for Good is a part of Euroleague Basketball’s “One Team” program. It focuses on providing educational basketball activities that cater to the needs of local communities. The initiative successfully inspired over 500 children during its inaugural season, and it now plans to extend its reach to more cities and local clubs.
Key Features of the Initiative
- Collaboration with local schools and social entities for tailored activities.
- Morning workshops combining education and basketball values.
- Afternoon basketball donation events for participants.
The program promotes teamwork, respect, and perseverance through interactive sessions led by One Team coaches. Participants aged 8 to 12 will engage in creative challenges such as memory games, team challenges using QR codes, and a group exercise to design a mural, called the “Perfect Ball.”
Technology and Innovation
Motorola’s technology plays a crucial role in enhancing the learning experience. The culmination of the initiative includes a donation ceremony where each participant receives a basketball and team-signed memorabilia as a token of their participation.
Launch and Future Plans
The second season is set to commence on November 3rd at Kralj Aleksandar I school in Belgrade, Serbia. Players from Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade and Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade will join the event, marking the beginning of outreach to multiple cities across Europe.
Quotes from Organizers
Gawain Davies, Chief Commercial Officer at Euroleague Basketball, emphasized the program’s impact. He stated, “We believe that the power of sport extends far beyond the court. Together with Motorola, we aspire to inspire the next generation and promote meaningful change.”
Daniela Idi, EMEA Marketing Director at Motorola, highlighted the program’s significance. She said, “Bouncing for Good transcends basketball — it’s about connection and giving children a chance to dream bigger.” This partnership aims to bridge technology with creativity and education, stretching the initiative’s impact across EMEA.
In recognition of the schools and organizations involved, a hand-painted basketball inspired by the children’s mural will be showcased during an official EuroLeague match. This acknowledgement highlights the importance of community engagement and the initiative’s lasting impact.
