Festive Homecoming Planned for Saturday’s Football Game Against App State

The annual Homecoming game for Old Dominion Football is set for Saturday, October 25, against App State. The match will kick off at noon and promises an array of new entertainment options and a modified parade route designed to enrich the gameday atmosphere.

Event Schedule and Highlights

Fans can start their day early, as tailgating lots will open at 8 a.m., four hours before kickoff. Kaufman Mall will also welcome attendees at this time. Highlights of the day include:

  • 8:00 a.m.: Tiki Bar will perform a concert on Kaufman Mall, and OrangeTheory Fitness will host a pop-up workout.
  • 9:45 a.m.: The Monarch March will see the football team moving through Webb Center on their way to S.B. Ballard Stadium, followed by the Homecoming court and parade.
  • 10:00 a.m.: Former Monarch and current NFL player Nick Saldiveri will sign autographs on the mall.
  • 10:30 a.m.: The Monarch Masquerade costume parade, designed for children aged 0-12, will take place.

Special Offers and Promotions

In light of recent challenges, Old Dominion is offering a special promotion for fans affected by the federal government shutdown. Any federal, military, or government employee impacted can receive four complimentary tickets to Saturday’s game. This offer extends to Sunday’s men’s basketball exhibition against Hampton as well.

This year’s Homecoming includes various food options on Kaufman Mall, featuring popular vendors like Kookie’s Cakes & Shakes and Instrumental Coffee for early morning refreshments.

Limited Edition Merchandise

Inside S.B. Ballard Stadium, fans can purchase a limited edition YETI Rambler® Tumbler, showcasing the ODU racetrack logo. This collectible cup will be available for $50 on the east side, adjacent to the elevator, and by the south gate.
