Rohit Sharma Surpasses Ganguly as India’s 3rd Highest ODI Run-Scorer

On October 23, 2025, Rohit Sharma achieved a historic milestone in One Day Internationals (ODIs) by surpassing Sourav Ganguly to become India’s third-highest run-scorer. This achievement took place during the second ODI of the series against Australia at the Adelaide Oval. To break Ganguly’s record of 11,221 runs, Sharma needed just 46 runs.

Rohit Sharma’s Milestone

During the match, Rohit crossed the milestone by hitting a four off Adam Zampa on the fifth ball of the 21st over. With this performance, he now stands with a total of 11,225 runs in ODIs after 275 matches. Only legends Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli have more runs than him in this format.
