Coroner Confirms Identity of 23-Year-Old Killed in Highway 99 Crash

The Kern County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the individual who tragically lost his life in a recent solo-vehicle crash on Highway 99. The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Jesus Bravo from McFarland, California.

Details of the Highway 99 Crash

The incident occurred on Friday, October 17, 2025, at approximately 9:56 a.m. California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers responded to reports of a crash on the northbound lanes of Highway 99, specifically south of Golden State Avenue.

Investigation Findings

Initial investigations revealed that Jesus Bravo was operating a gray 2012 Toyota Camry. The vehicle was traveling northbound when it veered toward the east edge of the roadway. The reasons for this maneuver remain under investigation.
