WILLEMSTAD – The government of Curaçao has initiated significant road maintenance projects throughout various regions on the island. The efforts, spearheaded by Minister Charles Cooper and the Public Works Department, aim to improve road conditions in several key areas.
Road Maintenance Areas
The maintenance will focus on the following locations:
- Kaya Juan Domingo Phase 4
- Hofi Cow
- Seru Fortuna
- Quinta Villa
Timeline and Expectations
The maintenance work is projected to last between two and three weeks. This includes activities such as repaving and repairing roads that currently suffer from deterioration.
Traffic Management During Maintenance
To facilitate the necessary repairs, certain streets will be temporarily closed. However, residents and business owners will maintain access to their properties. Motorists accustomed to these routes will be redirected to alternative roads.
Clear signage and barriers will be established to guide traffic safely around the work zones. Minister Cooper and the Public Works Department strongly advise drivers to exercise caution while navigating near these areas to ensure the safety of both workers and the general public.
