- Eli Drinkwitz – Current head coach at Missouri with a record of 56-26 (.683). He has a strong performance within the SEC and could be a safe hire for Florida.
- Lane Kiffin – Head coach at Ole Miss, boasting a 112-53 (.679) career record. Kiffin is considered a home-run hire, although it remains uncertain if he would leave a strong program.
- James Franklin – With a 128-60 (.681) record, the Penn State head coach is regarded as a top candidate. His proven success may lure him back into coaching quickly.
