Warner Bros. Animation Announces ‘Batman: Knightfall’ Animated Films

A new multi-part animated film titled “Batman: Knightfall” is in the works, as announced at New York Comic-Con. This major reveal occurred during the Warner Bros. Animation panel called “The Art Knight: Batman in Animation.” The first installment of the film is expected to premiere in 2026, though the precise release date is yet to be confirmed.

The forthcoming animated series draws inspiration from the acclaimed Batman comic arc of the same name, originally published in three segments between 1993 and 1994. The series was crafted by a talented team, including notable writers and artists such as Doug Moench, Chuck Dixon, Alan Grant, Dennis O’Neil, Peter David, Jo Duffy, Jim Aparo, Graham Nolan, Norm Breyfogle, and Jim Balent.
