ILA 2026 in Schönefeld: 110,000 Visitors Attend Air Show

The International Aerospace Exhibition (ILA) in Schönefeld attracted around 110,000 visitors this year. This marked a significant increase compared to the last event held two years ago. According to the organizers, the visitor days over the weekend were completely sold out.
Increased Attendance and Ticket Sales
This year, 25% more tickets were made available for private visitors compared to the previous ILA. Britta Wolters from Messe Berlin confirmed this increase in an interview with rbb|24. The event offered dedicated days for industry professionals prior to the public opening, during which several contracts were signed.
Event Location and Frequency
The ILA takes place every two years. This year, however, it was hosted at a new venue, Schönefeld, near BER Airport, situated in the Dahme-Spreewald district. This change from the traditional site at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds (Funkturm) contributed to the influx of attendees.
