Edmonton Celebrates Soccer with Exciting Summer Events

Edmonton is gearing up for an exciting series of soccer events this summer. Running from June 11 to July 19, the city will host an array of festivities in the ICE District. This includes 97 free World Cup Watch Parties for soccer enthusiasts of all ages.
Soccer Celebrations in Edmonton
The Summer of Soccer kicks off following Canada’s recent victory over Uzbekistan. Over 46,000 fans cheered at Commonwealth Stadium during the game. The event organizers, OEG Sports & Entertainment, the City of Edmonton, and Explore Edmonton, are excited to celebrate soccer with the community.
World Cup Watch Parties
Fans can enjoy matches in The Tent at Fan Park @ ICE District. The schedule features vital games, including all of Team Canada’s matches. Each watch party includes entertaining activities, food trucks, beverages, and even face painting.
Key Events During the Summer of Soccer
- June 12: Canada vs. Bosnia Herzegovina at 1:00 PM
- June 13: Qatar vs. Switzerland at 1:00 PM
- July 1: Canada Celebrates event with matches at 10:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 6:00 PM
- July 14: Semifinals Match at 1:00 PM
- July 19: Final Match at 1:00 PM
Gates will open 60 minutes before each kickoff, allowing fans to settle in and enjoy the pre-match atmosphere.
Additional Viewing Opportunities
All other World Cup games, except for those falling outside the city’s noise regulations, will be screened on the Rogers Place terminus screen. Below are some notable exceptions:

- June 16 – Austria vs. Jordan at 10:00 PM
- June 20 – Tunisia vs. Japan at 10:00 PM
