“High Society Rehearsals Begin with Star-Studded Cast: Helen George, Julian Ovenden & More”

Rehearsals have commenced for the much-anticipated musical production of High Society, set to take the stage at the Barbican Theatre in London this summer. This new adaptation is directed by Rachel Kavanaugh and features music and lyrics by the renowned Cole Porter, alongside a book by Arthur Kopit.

The principal cast includes:

  • Helen George as Tracy Samantha Lord
  • Julian Ovenden as Dexter Haven
  • Freddie Fox as Mike Connor
  • Felicity Kendal as Mother Lord
  • Carly Mercedes Dyer as Liz Imbrie

The ensemble cast also showcases talents such as Nigel Lindsay (Uncle Willie) and Malcolm Sinclair (Seth Lord), along with a host of other performers including Naomi Pacquette, David Seadon-Young, and Bethany Adamson.

High Society runs from 19 May to 11 July 2026 at the Barbican Theatre. Following the London engagement, George, Fox, and Ovenden will take their roles on a nationwide tour.
