Alternative Routes
A diversion has been set up for motorists affected by the closure:
- Exit the M2 at junction 3 and follow the solid circle diversion symbol.
- Take the third exit onto the A229.
- Travel 300 meters to Lord Lee’s Roundabout.
- At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the A229 south towards Maidstone.
- Continue for about 2.5 miles to join the M20 eastbound at junction 6.
- Remain on the M20 for just over a mile. Exit at junction 7.
- Take the first exit onto the A249 north.
- Continue for 5.5 miles to rejoin the M2 at junction 5.
