Critical Patients Hospitalized After Bus Rollover Near Grande Prairie

A serious bus accident occurred near Grande Prairie, Alberta, on May 13, 2026, involving a charter bus carrying oilfield workers. The incident took place just after 7 a.m. on Highway 672, northwest of the city. There were 17 individuals on board, including the driver, and all were taken to local hospitals. Four passengers sustained critical injuries.

According to the Beaverlodge RCMP, the bus was traveling east when it rolled off the single-lane rural highway. Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved in the crash. The bus was operated by Trican Well Service, a Calgary-based company.

Emergency Health Services-Alberta reported that all passengers received treatment for various injuries. Notably, two critically injured individuals were airlifted to the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital using STARS air ambulance services. These patients were transported in two separate flights.

Traffic on Highway 672 was disrupted due to the accident but is expected to be reopened later in the day. Emergency services remained on site to ensure passenger safety and aid in the investigation.
