Variety is set to launch its inaugural Power of Women event in London, in partnership with Lifetime, on June 3. This event will celebrate five distinguished honorees who have made significant contributions to their respective fields.

Honorees and Their Charitable Contributions

The five standout women being recognized are:

  • Emilia Clarke: Known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in “Game of Thrones,” Clarke’s charity, SameYou, focuses on brain injury recovery.
  • Emma Corrin: The first non-binary honoree, Corrin gained fame for portraying Princess Diana in “The Crown.” She highlights War Child, which aids children affected by armed conflict.
  • Cynthia Erivo: Award-winning actress Erivo, noted for her performances in “Harriet” and “Wicked,” supports The Shameless Fund, which promotes LGBTQ+ causes through grassroots initiatives.
  • Hannah Waddingham: Acknowledged for her roles in “Ted Lasso” and upcoming projects, Waddingham endorses Make-A-Wish UK, making dreams come true for critically ill children.
  • Suki Waterhouse: The indie pop sensation will promote Facing the World, an organization dedicated to supporting children with facial disfigurement, while releasing her new album “Loveland.”
