RCMP Report: Fatal Crash Northeast of Calgary Leaves 2 Dead, 3 Hospitalized

On Sunday morning, a tragic vehicle accident northeast of Calgary resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left three others hospitalized. The incident took place around 10:39 a.m. at the intersection of Highways 9 and 564, approximately 30 kilometers from Calgary.

The collision involved a GMC truck towing a trailer and a Ford Escape. The Ford Escape had four occupants, while the GMC truck was carrying one driver. The two fatalities occurred in the Ford Escape: one woman died at the scene, while the other succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.

Among the injured were a man and a child, both transported to the hospital in critical condition. The child was subsequently airlifted by STARS air ambulance for urgent medical care. The driver of the GMC truck was also hospitalized with serious injuries.
