Dave Coulier Reveals Cancer Treatment Altered His Speech and Appearance

Dave Coulier, known for his role in Full House, has provided an update on his health following changes in his appearance and voice. On Instagram, he addressed concerns from fans, revealing that these changes result from extensive radiation treatment for carcinoma in his throat.

Health Diagnosis and Treatment

In November 2024, Coulier was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. This diagnosis was followed by another in December, identifying p16 squamous carcinoma at the base of his tongue. Notably, this second diagnosis came a year after he completed lymphoma treatment.

Effects of Treatment

  • Coulier has lost 45 pounds due to an inability to eat solid food for months.
  • The radiation treatment has impacted his speech, which he confirmed through his social media post.

Positive Prognosis

Despite these challenges, Coulier shared a positive update on his health. Following recent PET scans, he reported a favorable prognosis for both the carcinoma and lymphoma. In a previous appearance on Good Morning America, he announced his remission status after undergoing surgery for tongue cancer.

Reflection on His Journey

Describing his experience as a “roller coaster ride,” Coulier expressed gratitude for reaching remission with both types of cancer. He emphasized the emotional and physical toll of his health journey but remains optimistic about the future.
