The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF) has chosen a new headquarters at 530 Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. This move involves occupying approximately 68,958 square feet within a 26-story office building. RXR and Sagehall are the current owners of the property.
Details of the Move
This relocation from MJFF’s previous office at 111 West 33rd Street marks a significant transition for the organization. At its former location, MJFF utilized around 86,000 square feet, having moved there in 2016.
Transaction Representatives
The tenant broker Savills facilitated this transaction, with agents Kirill Azovtsev, Shay Bolton, and Meghan Marchini representing MJFF. Bolton expressed optimism about the move, highlighting its alignment with MJFF’s operational needs.
Supporting the Mission
Vanessa Arnedo, MJFF’s chief people officer, noted that the new space will cater to the foundation’s requirements for collaborative environments, meeting rooms, and focused work areas. These elements are essential for advancing MJFF’s mission toward finding a cure.
Property Repositioning Details
The asking rent has not been disclosed for the new location. However, reports suggest that asking rents at 530 Fifth Avenue were around $80 per square foot as of January 2025. Landlords RXR and Sagehall recently initiated a $180 million recapitalization project for the building to enhance its positioning.

530 Fifth Avenue is also home to several other organizations, including:
- Cyprus Creek Renewables – a solar energy company
- The New York City Police Foundation – a nonprofit organization
- Arbiter Partners Capital Management – an investment firm
- Convene – a provider of flexible office space
Founded in 2000 by actor and activist Michael J. Fox, the MJFF aims to further research on Parkinson’s disease. Fox, who is 64 years old, was diagnosed with the illness in 1991.
