Philadelphia Man Crafts ‘Burden the Bear’ After Transformative Accident

After a transformative accident, Eric Wyatt from Philadelphia initiated a unique project: crafting a line of plush animals known as ‘Burden the Bear’. This endeavor aims to assist individuals in managing their burdens, whether they stem from anxiety, PTSD, or various cancer diagnoses.
Creation of ‘Burden the Bear’
Wyatt’s concept revolves around creating comforting bears that symbolize support during difficult times. He recognized a gap in resources for those facing mental health challenges and decided to fill it through his innovative plush toys.
Diverse Offerings
- Burden the Bear: Designed for anxiety and PTSD support.
- Inspire the Bear: Promotes autism acceptance.
- Additional plush animal designs: Address various health issues.
Nonprofit Initiatives
In response to the growing need for plush toys in emotional support, Wyatt expanded his mission by partnering with numerous nonprofits. This led him to establish his own organization, ‘Lifting the Burden’.
Supporting Organizations
Lifting the Burden aims to provide grants to organizations, enabling them to acquire their own plushies for those in need. This initiative enhances Wyatt’s goal of making a positive impact on the community.
Through ‘Burden the Bear’ and ‘Lifting the Burden’, Eric Wyatt not only offers comfort but also fosters a sense of belonging and understanding for those carrying their own burdens.
