“It shook quite a bit here. While not the worst I’ve experienced, it was definitely noticeable,” he stated in an interview with QUB radio, which simulcasted on Montreal’s 99.5 FM.

Initially, a tsunami alert was issued but was quickly lifted. In light of the recent events, the Japan Meteorological Agency has warned of an elevated risk for a “mega earthquake” within the coming week. This constant threat looms over the population, as described by Hardy-Chartrand.
