Bimota BSB Rider Hospitalized After Oulton Park Test Crash

Bimota BSB rider Joe Talbot was hospitalized following a crash during the British Superbike (BSB) test at Oulton Park. The incident occurred at turn one during the second session of the test’s final day, prompting the race officials to display red flags.
The 22-year-old suffered the crash after experiencing a technical issue with his motorcycle at Old Hall Corner. He was conscious following the accident and was initially assessed at the circuit medical center. Subsequently, he was transferred to Stoke Hospital for further evaluation concerning potential concussion and back pain.
BSB Test Highlights
Prior to the crash, Talbot had recorded his best time of the test in the second session. Unfortunately, the session could not be restarted, leaving him in sixth place on the time sheets.
Talbot’s debut season in the BSB is slated for 2026, although he participated in the series last September as a replacement for Lee Jackson at the DAO Honda team during the race at Donington Park.
