Yungblud Honors Ozzy Osbourne with Emotional ‘Changes’ Cover in Birmingham

Fast-rising rock artist Yungblud delivered a heartfelt homage to heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne during his performance in Birmingham. This tribute took place at the Utilita Arena, conveniently located near Aston, Ozzy’s hometown.

Emotional Tribute at Birmingham Show

Yungblud, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, showcased a dynamic 14-song set, heavily featuring tracks from his latest album, *Idols*. However, it was his cover of the iconic Black Sabbath ballad “Changes” that captured the audience’s attention.

  • Event: Yungblud’s performance in Birmingham
  • Location: Utilita Arena
  • Featured Tribute: Cover of “Changes” by Black Sabbath
  • Performance Length: 14 songs

Midway through his set, Yungblud dedicated this emotional piece to Osbourne, exclaiming, “I want to dedicate this next one to a dear friend of mine in the sky tonight!” Chants of “OZZY!” resonated throughout the arena.

A Personal Connection

The bond between Yungblud and Osbourne is well established. Ozzy has previously expressed that he saw elements of himself in the fervent young musician. Yungblud also featured Osbourne in his music video for the 2022 single “The Funeral.”

Yungblud first performed the cover of “Changes” during the memorable Back To The Beginning show held at Villa Park last year, which marked a farewell for Ozzy and Black Sabbath, uniting iconic figures from the rock and metal scenes.

Remembering a Legend

Following Osbourne’s passing in July 2025, Yungblud shared an emotional tribute. He reflected on their last meeting, expressing disbelief at Ozzy’s departure and stating, “I will never forget you – you will be in every single note I sing.”

As Yungblud continues his UK tour, he emphasizes the profound influence Ozzy Osbourne had on him and his career.
