Canadiens Reshape Roster Post Training Camp

The Montreal Canadiens have restructured their roster following the conclusion of training camp. On Sunday, the team announced multiple moves to prepare for the upcoming season.

Roster Changes

The Canadiens made five significant roster decisions:

  • Forwards Owen Beck and Florian Xhekaj have been loaned to the Laval Rocket, which competes in the American Hockey League.
  • Defenseman Adam Engstrom has also been assigned to the Laval Rocket.
  • Forward Samuel Blais will be placed on waivers along with goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen.

Upcoming Practices and Season Start

Following these roster adjustments, the Canadiens will hold practices on Monday and Tuesday at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard. The team is set to kick off the regular season on Wednesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
