Foundation Launches Exciting 50/50 Raffle for Playoff Season

The Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation has launched an exciting playoff edition of its popular 50/50 raffle. This unique opportunity gives fans increased chances to win during the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Fans can purchase tickets online at 5050.canadiens.com.

Raffle Details and How to Participate

To participate, individuals must be at least 18 years old and located in Quebec at the time of ticket purchase. Ticket sales from both home and away games will be combined to form a single jackpot for each playoff round. Instead of selecting a winner for every game, one participant will win half of the total amount raised for the entire round.

Winning Announcement

The winning number for the grand cash prize will be drawn at 12:00 p.m. (ET) the day after the last game of each playoff round. For the opening series between the Montreal Canadiens and the Tampa Bay Lightning, the jackpot is anticipated to exceed $900,000, potentially the largest in team history. Last year, the Round 1 jackpot reached $837,750.

Bonus Raffle Opportunity

In addition to the main jackpot, fans can opt into the Bonus Raffle when purchasing regular 50/50 tickets. Each bonus ticket costs $10 and offers a chance to win up to five additional prizes. These prizes include:

  • $25,000 cash prize
  • A Caribbean cruise for two
  • A game-worn Nick Suzuki jersey from the 2026 playoffs
  • Tickets to a Canadiens game at the Bell Centre for the 2026-27 season
  • Passes to îLESONIQ, LASSO, and OSHEAGA festivals

The Bonus Raffle prizes will be drawn at random once the Canadiens’ playoff run concludes, and winning numbers will be announced on 5050.canadiens.com.

Support for the Community

The success of the Foundation’s 50/50 raffles relies on the generosity of fans and volunteers who sell tickets at home games. Half of the funds will go to the winner, while the remaining proceeds will support the Bleu Blanc Bouge program. This initiative promotes healthy lifestyles among underprivileged youth, benefiting over 250,000 children across Quebec each year.

The program includes building refrigerated outdoor community rinks in low-income neighborhoods and initiating sports activities such as ice skating and ball hockey. Currently, there are 15 multisport rinks in Quebec, with two new facilities being constructed in Sorel-Tracy and Salaberry-de-Valleyfield.
