Brian Cox Joins ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Season 2 as New York Ripper

Brian Cox is set to join the cast of “Dexter: Resurrection” Season 2 on Paramount+. He will portray the character Dom Framt, known as The New York Ripper.

The New York Ripper is a serial killer who once terrified the city. Although the character has not appeared onscreen before, he was initially mentioned in Season 1. Described as a remorseless figure, he taunts survivors of his past crimes while living off his infamy.

The character of Framt was referenced in Season 1, where Dexter (played by Michael C. Hall) and Det. Claudette Wallace (Kadia Saraf) discovered a file related to him. This sets up a significant role for Cox’s character in the upcoming season.

The new series is developed by Clyde Phillips, who helmed the original “Dexter” series. He serves as both showrunner and executive producer for Season 2. Alongside him, Hall also takes on an executive producer role.

Other executive producers include Scott Reynolds, Marcos Siega, Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, Veronica West, Kirsa Rein, Tanner Bean, and Katrina Mathewson. The series is a collaborative production of Paramount Television Studios and Counterpart Studios.
