B.C. Ferries Cancels Duke Point, Tsawwassen Sailings on April 2-3

B.C. Ferries has announced the cancellation of several sailings between Duke Point and Tsawwassen on April 2 and 3. Passengers should adjust their travel plans accordingly.

The following sailings will be affected:
- April 2, 2026:
- Queen of Surrey leaving Duke Point at 9:00 a.m.
- Queen of Surrey leaving Duke Point at 2:00 p.m.
- Queen of Surrey leaving Tsawwassen at 11:30 a.m.
- Queen of Surrey leaving Tsawwassen at 4:30 p.m.
- April 3, 2026:
- Queen of Surrey leaving Duke Point at 9:00 a.m.
- Queen of Surrey leaving Tsawwassen at 11:30 a.m.
Reasons for Cancellation
B.C. Ferries spokesperson Ritinder Matthew explained that the cancellation is due to delays in the vessel’s return from scheduled maintenance. “Additional work was identified as the systems were being reassessed,” Matthew stated. The maintenance is a vital part of preparing for the busy tourist season.
Customer Information
Passengers with existing reservations will be contacted by B.C. Ferries customer service. They will receive refunds for any cancelled fares.
For those seeking alternatives, the Departure Bay terminal in Nanaimo and the Horseshoe Bay terminal in West Vancouver may be viable options for travel to the Lower Mainland.
