Ayr United Names Ex-Hamilton Leader John Rankin as Interim Coach

John Rankin has been appointed as Ayr United’s interim manager for the remainder of the season. The 42-year-old previously led Hamilton Academical and steps in following the departure of Scott Brown, who left Somerset Park by mutual consent on Monday.

Ayr United currently sits in eighth place in the Scottish Championship, maintaining a seven-point lead over the relegation play-off zone and an eight-point cushion over the bottom position in the league.
