KSI Shatters Records at Kew The Run on YouTube

The Kew The Run event experienced significant participation this year, setting new records with 5,500 runners. Among them was popular YouTuber KSI, who also serves as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, a boxer, and a musician. He completed the half marathon in a commendable time of 1:50:02. This year’s event encompassed both the Kew Gardens 10K and the half marathon, showcasing an exceptional turnout.
Kew The Run Achieves Record Participation
A total of 2,739 participants finished the Kew Gardens 10K, while 3,008 runners completed the half marathon. This marks the highest participation level since Kew The Run began five years ago. Both race routes started and finished within the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens Kew.
Elite Performances in the Half Marathon
The event featured outstanding performances from elite athletes. Ollie Garrod won the men’s half marathon with a swift time of 1:11:17. In the women’s category, Rebecca Bunting triumphed, finishing in 1:18:42. Both times rank among the fastest in the event’s history.
10K Winners Stand Out
The 10K race also saw remarkable performances. Jamie Ludlow secured the men’s title with a time of 32:39, while Katie Balme claimed victory in the women’s race at 37:40. These achievements contributed to the excitement of the day.
Impact Beyond Racing
Tom Bedford, the event race director, expressed pride in this year’s accomplishments. He stated, “Welcoming record numbers is always special, but we also anticipate raising over £300,000 for various charities, including our Charity of the Year, WWF-UK.”
Looking Ahead
The Kew The Run is one of the two running events held within the iconic Kew Gardens. The next opportunity for runners to experience this unique venue will be at the Richmond RUN-FEST, scheduled for September 12–13, 2027. Early bird entries for the 2027 Kew The Run event are now available, with the race set for April 3rd and 4th.
