An Orleans County man has been charged with a peeping tom offense in South Carolina after disturbing allegations surfaced. The case involves Nicolás Vagg, who is accused of leaving an audio recording device in a woman’s home.

According to the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, the incident was reported on January 24. Officers responded to a complaint regarding potential voyeurism. The victim indicated that she had previously been in a relationship with Nicolás Vagg from May to October 2024.

  • Device Discovery: The woman discovered a small, black rectangular device in her bedroom.
  • Audio Recordings: Upon connecting the device to her phone, she found audio recordings of her interactions with Vagg and another man after their relationship ended.

Arrest and Legal Proceedings

Nicolás Vagg, 32, from Albion, turned himself in to authorities on Tuesday. He was charged with eavesdropping and peeping. As per the Georgetown County Detention Center records, he was initially held on a $2,000 bond but was released later that day.

A no-contact order of protection has been issued for the victim, ensuring her safety. The next court date for Vagg is set for May 28, 2024, where further legal proceedings will take place.
