Alix Earle Shares Acne Journey and Launches Reale Actives Skincare Brand

Social media star Alix Earle has embarked on a new venture with her skincare brand, Reale Actives. This brand aims to address acne concerns and will officially launch on its website on March 31. The initial product line will feature four skincare essentials.
Reale Actives Product Range
The debut of Reale Actives will include:
- Makeup cleansing balm
- Exfoliating gel cleanser
- Mandelic acid serum
- Barrier boosting moisturizer
Prices for these products will range from $28 to $39. Earle’s inspiration for the brand stems from her personal experience with acne, leading her to create solutions tailored for acne-prone skin.
Background and Inspiration
Earle first gained recognition while studying in Miami. She always envisioned herself as an entrepreneur but initially focused on makeup. However, her passion shifted as she sought to create effective products for acne management.
Frustrated by existing acne products, Earle noted, “It all felt very clinical, and I just didn’t feel proud to have the products on my counter.” This realization fueled her desire to design a line that combines efficacy with aesthetic appeal.
Key Ingredients and Philosophy
The mandelic acid serum will feature a unique ingredient called Synactin AC. Earle emphasizes the importance of supporting the skin barrier while addressing acne, rather than relying solely on stripping products. “I wanted it to be the bare bones of the routine,” she stated.
Partnership with Imaginary Ventures
Reale Actives is backed by Imaginary Ventures, known for investing in leading brands like Skims and Glossier. Partner Kelly Dill highlighted the significance of founder Earle’s authentic relationships with her audience, which influenced their decision to invest.
Brand Development and Future Plans
CEO Andrea Blieden is focused on building a strong team to support the brand’s vision. She noted that despite the crowded acne category, there is an opportunity for Reale Actives to stand out through simplification and innovative ingredients.
Earle will take on a prominent role as the chief brand officer and feature in the brand’s launch campaign. Future plans include expanding the product line to address various skincare needs beyond acne.
Looking Ahead
Reale Actives aims to introduce new products until 2028, with Earle committed to filling gaps in the market. “Finding those gaps is important for creating products,” she remarked. This approach underscores Earle’s determination to push boundaries in the skincare industry.
